Night Scene Props Prep

 Night Scene Props Prep

In order to prepare for this scene, I needed to be sure the equipment was charged, ready and packed.  I also needed to be sure the actors were in the proper costumes and hair and makeup were set.  I was creating a car crash so to prepare the props in addition to the car and lighting, I also needed the shattered glass, red food dye for the "blood" and cell phone at the scene.  I also brought along a few additional volunteer crew members to ensure safety for us during the filming of this scene and assistance with any extra lighting as necessary.

We took shattered glass from my fire pit at home that had glass and mirror pieces and purchased red food dye from the store.  We were able to use the spots left behind in the parking area from other cars to help achieve the deeper look of substance on the ground.

With the focus of safety we were sure to keep these objects in a controlled environment so that they may be cleaned up afterwards.  No actors, crew or vehicles will be harmed and the place of filming will also be taken care of properly to not harm any other innocent bystanders or their vehicles as the production wraps up.  These standards will continue to be followed throughout the project.
